Celebrating flowers as a source of inspiration through over 220 contemporary artworks by 43 artists across 21 mediums. From painting to paper art, ceramics, textiles, sculpture, and installations. Explore Cumbrian gardens, symbolism of flowers and floral influences in the Cumbrian Arts and Crafts movement. Plus, enjoy a fun paper flower-making activity for children.

Libby Edmondson’s Pop-Up Print Shop
Now open near our Gallery, visit our pop-up print shop dedicated to the vibrant work of Libby Edmondson with over 20 prints to choose from as well as a range of her Hare and Cheetah Sculptures.
All the artwork is available to take away on the day of your visit. You simply fill in the order form and take it the Gallery Desk where the team will be delighted to help.

Young Cumbrian Artists

The Arts Society Cumbria organises an annual exhibition to display the work of young artists in Cumbria. The students are usually in their final two years of school and studying Art at A Level. They present work on a wide range of themes, some of which are designated by the exam board while others may be ideas of their own choice. The schools taking part this year are: Appleby Grammar School; Austin Friars School; James Rennie School; Keswick School; and Queen Elizabeth Grammar School.
The Arts Society Cumbria is delighted to be working in partnership with Rheged.
The Arts Society, founded in 1976, organises monthly lectures including the Mary Burkett Memorial Lecture in April. They also organise cultural and social activities, day trip and holidays, all of which are friendly and thought provoking .Visit theartssocietycumbria.org.uk
